At CrossPointe Family, we focus on three (3) basic Biblical principles that enable us to follow Jesus, the Nazarene (Matthew 2:23); prayer, growth and service. We also believe the Christian life is impossible apart from a genuine, personal relationship with God. Life happens at CrossPointe and everything we do is designed to help people encounter Jesus! Our Church has been in the Kendallville area for over 100 years. It was formed in the early 1900's when a tent revival came to town. We have been in three different locations in the Kendallville area. The church started on Williams Street, then moved to Brian's Place on the east side of town and then to where we are located today off of Drake Road. Statement of Beliefs The Articles of Faith for the Church of the Nazarene outline the elements of the Christian faith we consider essentials. These articles are summed up in the AgreedStatement of Belief for the Church of the Nazarene.
*We believe in one God - the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
*We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures, given by plenary inspiration, contain all truth necessary to faith and Christian living.
*We believe that man is born with a fallen nature, and is, therefore, inclined to evil, and that continually.
*We believe that the finally impenitent are hopelessly and eternally lost.
*We believe that the atonement through Jesus Christ is for the whole human race; and that whosoever repents and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified and regenerated and saved from the dominion of sin.
*We believe that believers are to be sanctified wholly, subsequent to regeneration, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
*We believe that the Holy Spirit bears witness to the new birth, and also to the entire sanctification of believers.
*We believe that our Lord will return, the dead will be raised, and the final judgement will take place.
